Purchasing

The clothesline trades in Australian Dollars only. Payment is accepted through Paypal using your credit card or paypal account.

After entering your billing and shipping information you will be taken to a secure paypal page to process your payment. You do NOT need a Paypal account as you can enter your credit card details as instructed. Once your payment has been confirmed you will automatically return to the clothesline. 

If you wish to pay by Direct Debit, select the EFT Payment option during checkout.

All pages that contain your personal information (account login and shopping cart) are secured using SSL (Secure Socket Layering). SSL is the industry standard encryption technology that ensures your personal information and credit card details are transmitted via a secured data transmission.  You should be able to see a padlock in the address bar of your browser. If not, please contact us.

In the event of unauthorised use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Delivery

Due to fact that all of the clothesline's products are handmade by us, delivery times may vary.

You will be contacted via email once your order is received and again when it is despatched.

We will make every effort to despatch your order within 48 hours and will notify you if there are any unexpected delays. Once despatched, please allow 2-4 days delivery by Australia Post.

FREE Gift Wrapping

Presentation is everything to us at the Clothesline! We will happily gift wrap your purchase for FREE and can ship directly to the lucky recipient. Just nominate which product(s) you would like wrapped during step one of the checkout process. Then specify if the gift is for a boy or a girl and note your personalised message (if any) for the small, handmade gift card in the checkout comments box.

We use beautiful papers, ribbons, embellishments and handmade cards that are sure to impress.

When entering your account information you will be asked to register your billing address which will be saved with your secure login details. During the checkout process you are then given the opportunity to change the delivery address if sending a gift.

About our Products

All of the bags, skirts, dresses, crochet embellishments and applique designs are handmade by us using fabric and materials from Australia and overseas.

Where we have to purchase t-shirts, singlets and plain headbands we spend quite a bit of time sourcing the best quality we have available to us. This is to ensure that your clothing continues to look as good as possible with wear.

Returns

We happily exchange or refund should you have any problems with a product or the size of a garment. Returned products must be 100% new and unworn/unused, with tags still attached. Please contact us via email within 5 days of receiving your order so that we can address your request as quickly as possible.

To return or exchange an item, please send an email to andrea@theclothesline.com.au and provide the following information:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Product name or description
  • Receipt number
  • Reason for return/exchange


You will then receive an email detailing the clothesline’s return address and ‘return code’. Please clearly mark the return code on the back of the parcel being returned to the clothesline.

Please note:

  • The clothesline reserves the right to refuse the return of any item not in its original condition.
  • The clothesline takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of parcels being posted or returned by post.
  • In the event of an exchange, if the replacement item is priced higher than the original item, the difference is to be paid by the customer, in addition to postage costs.

Damaged Goods

We take great care at the clothesline to package products to minimise the chance of postal damage. The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the parcel is delivered to Australia Post.

The Clothesline take your personal and credit card information seriously. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes whatsoever. Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth and efficient shopping experience. This allows us to provide services that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our service to make your experience safer and easier.

We have chosen to use Paypal to process your purchases as it is the most widely recognised and respected independent payment company. You can use your credit card or your paypal account to make secure purchases from the Clothesline.
